ISKI WAS REWARDED 5 STAR EXCELLENCE

ISKI, a public utility of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, honored with the certificate of Recognized for Excellence 5 Star, one of the most prestigious award in the business world, as a result of an evaluation of harmonization of corporate activities with the excellence model criteria of European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) by Turkish Society for Quality (KalDer). 27th Quality Congress on ‘Sustainable Common Future’   was held with the cooperation of Turkish Society for Quality (KalDer) and Turkish Industry and Business Association (TUSIAD). The Turkey Perfection Awards was given to the winners in accordance with the excellence model criteria of European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) adopted as management model by 30 thousand organizations all around the world. ISKI, a public utility of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, had the certificate of “Recognized for Excellence 5 Star”, one of the most prestigious award in the business world, as a result of corporate activities.

ISKI GAINED THE HIGHEST GRADE CERTIFICATE

The Congress, taking place on the 13th and 14th November 2018 at the Zorlu Performance Arts Center, hosted nearly 3 thousand representatives from institutions and organizations of business, science, art, academia and media world. Institutions and organizations, carrying out their activities by adopting EFQM Excellence Model, were evaluated out of 9 main criteria including leadership, strategy, staff, collaborations and resources. Institutions and organizations were awarded with the certificates; “Recognized for Excellence 2 Star”, “Recognized for Excellence 3 Star”, “Recognized for Excellence 4 Star” and “Recognized for Excellence 5 Star” according to their performance. As a result of the evaluation by the jury, ISKI was honored with the certificate of Recognized for Excellence 5 Star.

What is the EFQM EXCELLENCE MODEL?

European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) was founded in 1988 by 14 European Business Leaders with the mission of “Promoting Organizations to Achieve Sustainable Excellence” and the vision of “a World where European Organizations Reach Sustainable Excellence”. EFQM is a not for profit membership foundation. EFQM Excellence Model is an international management model, created by a team of experts from industry and academia under the custodianship of EFQM, and announced to the world in 1991. More than 30 thousand organizations from 38 countries all over the world, through 47 agencies, have adopted as their management model. Institutions and organizations in Turkey are evaluated according to EFQM excellence model criteria by assessors nominated by Turkish Society for Quality (KalDer) collaborating internationally with EFQM. Organizations are certificated according to their performance evaluated in terms of 9 main criteria including Leadership, Strategy, Staff, Collaborations and Resources, Processes, Products and Services, Customer Outcomes, Employee Data, Community Outcomes and Key Performance Results.
